June 13, 2007 : Black & Decker Rescue Demo

Today Providence Truck 297 went to Harley Davidson of Baltimore on route 40 to participate with other volunteer companies in a Dewalt promo/demo of their new 36 volt power tools.  Members of Providence, Pikesville, Lutherville, and Middle River worked together with the new tools to cut two cars in half; the event was a big success.  Matt Kensith was there to represent Dewalt, and Fox 45 news covered the event throughout.  Furthermore, the rescue demo will be featured in Dewalt's new advertisement, which resulted in great coverage for all companies on site.  Finally, Dewalt was gracious enough to present 17,000 dollars worth of equipment to the 5 companies represented; thus, each company walked away with 4 brand new 36-volt 4-tool combo kits.  The Collapse Trailer, the truck, and the floodlight will now be equipped with these tools.  On behalf of all the members at Providence we would like to extend our thanks to Dewalt, Harley Davidson, and everyone else who made this possible.
