29 Medical Box (Update)
March 31, 2010 - On Friday January 29, 2010 at approximately 15:49 hours units from Providence responded with M101 (Towson) for a report of 2y/o seizure at a residence north of the station. E291 responded with Lt. C Davis, FF. S. Robertson, FF/EMT C. Camp ell, FF P. Gleitsmann. Upon arrival the crew found a 2 y/o on the floor unconscious/unresponsive in respiratory distress. The crew initiated immediate airway management and oxygen therapy. Upon the medic arrival, the patient was rapidly transferred to the ambulance where advanced life support measures were started. During transport to the hospital the patients condition deteriorated. Members from Providence accompanied the Medics to the Emergency Room and assisted the ER staff. The child was stabilized.
We are pleased to report that "Sara" made a complete recovery! On Saturday March 27 the she came to the Firehouse for the annual Easter Egg Hunt/Party at the station with her family. She was in very good spirits and colored a sign that read " Thank You For Helping Me" for the firefighters that responded to her emergency. The sign has been proudly posted in the members' area of the firehouse.
