2010-06-26 Rescue Training with Hereford EMS
July 01, 2010 - On June 26, 2010- Several member from the Providence VFC traveled to Northern Baltimore County to take part in Auto Extrication Training with Hereford EMS and Rescue Station 53. The two companies traveled to Maryland Line (Co. 45) first due to Brown's Junkyard where they provided 8 vehicle for training. Scott Timberman ( Chief 53 ) headed up this training event which started off with a hands on overview of tool operations. The members from each station took on one vehicle at a time and completed a complete door and roof removal with dash roll. The afternoon brought on two evolutions involving single vehicles one on its side and one on its roof. After this training event the crew from Providence stopped by Co. 53 to let some of there members climb the ladder truck and get a birds eye view of there station from 110' in the air. Many thanks to the Officers and Members of Co. 53 for allowing us to train with them.
