2010-08-01 First due incidents
August 01, 2010 - On Sunday August 1st, The men from Providence were alerted for the Dwelling fire in the first due at 1018 Cowpens Ave. 291 (Engine), 293 (floodlight/special service), 298 (Utility) responded on the alarm. E 291 reported laying in from the hydrant at 1012 Cowpens, and for the second due to pick it up. E 291 arrived on scene with nothing showing, however the homeowner was pointing and screaming frantically reporting a fire on the Charlie side. The crew from E 291 streched a pre-connect to the charlie side and found a shed attached to the house with fire in the roof and joists. E 291 quickly knocked down the fire and units on the scene opened up and checked for extension. The men from providence were back in service within the hour, and responded to two additional alarms consisting of a brush fire up against the building right next door to quarters and an emergency medical call.
