February 19, 2011 - 3-Alarm Assisted Living Fire: Fire Box 14-09
February 19, 2011 - At approximately 12:15am, PVFC was alerted to respond to the report of a fire at an assisted living facility on Landrake Road off of Thornton Road in Riderwood. Engine 292 and FL 293 responded on the assignment. First arriving units reported nothing evident; however crews encountered smoke conditions inside and discovered fire in the walls which traveled to the second and third floors and eventually the fire vented through the roof of the structure. Members from Providence operated for approximately 4 hours extinguishing the fire and performing overhaul.
