February 19, 2012 - Working Fire Box 10-3
On Feb 17th at 0815am, Engine 292 was alerted for the working fire assignment on Arizona avenue in Parkville. Upon arrival Engine 292 established a secondary water source and the crew proceeded up to the scene to help with extinguishment and overhaul. Other units on scene: Engine 7, Engine 11, Engine 55, Engine 8, Truck 8, Truck 1, and the Rehab units

Crews did not have very much time to recover from the previous working fire when they were dispatched at 1030 to an investigation at Loch Raven High School. Engine 292 responded promptly arriving to find an odor of gasoline inside the lobby and various classrooms on the first floor. Unable to initially locate the source, the Hazmat unit was requested to assist with detection. The source was determined to be a leaking gas can stored next to the HVAC system. Crews ventilated the school and removed the gas cans. The all clear was given and school was able to resume. Other units on scene: Engine 14, Hazmat 114, and Fire Marshall 32 & 34
