"National Night Out" Citizens On Patrol (COP) parade 2010
August 03, 2010 - On Tuesday August 3 units from Providence VFC joined community representatives, elected officials and members from the Baltimore County Police Department on a motorcade through the Towson area neighborhoods. This procession was to encourage community members to get involved with and acknowlege the Citizens On Patrol (COP) groups that partol the communities. Retail giant TARGET is a national sponsor of the "National Night Out" and presented the Towson Area COP with a generous donation.
Engine # 291 led the procession of over 20 vehicles. Floodlight 293 was in the middle and Utility 298 was at the tail end. The motorcade processed through most of the Towson neighborhoods, including Stonleigh, Campus Hills, Old Hillendale, Loch Raven Village, Donnybrook, as well as 'down town' Towson.
This is the third year in a row that Providence VFC has participated in the motorcade. Providence VFC is very proud of the relationship we have with the Towson COP. We hope to continue to work with the COP members to protect the neighborhoods is which we live and serve !
