Working house fire in Parkville (10-2)
May 07, 2010 - On Friday May 7, at approximately 00:46hrs, Floodlight 293 was dispatched on fire box 10-2. Floodlight 293 responded with 3 personnel. Engine 10 had been dispatched for a smoke in the area call and was already on scene with a working dwelling fire. Command advised that this was a balloon frame dwelling and that it was burning in the walls. Upon Floodlight 293’s arrival they were advised by command to go to the exterior delta side and open up the walls. After completion of the assignment 293’s crew went to the roof and assisted units with checking for any additional extension and extinguishing hot spots in the attic. Crews remained on scene for approximately 2 ½ hours.
