November 2021 Recap

As we head into the colder months, Providence’s call volume normally picks up. For the Month of November, we responded to a total of 101 calls of service. Here is sampling of some of the calls we ran over this period: 13 motor vehicle collisions, 27 emergency medical service calls, and 3 major fires.

Here are some of the major incidents we responded to over the month.

November 9th @1:41 Engine 291 responded to a working house fire in the 1500 block of Glen Keith Blvd in Towson. Fire was on all floors & in the basement.

1/09/2021 Alert time: 2106 hrs Fire Box 55-10 (Perry Hall) Apartment Fire 12 Cardor Court Truck 297 was dispatched as the 2nd due Truck company on the initial assignment. E-55 (Perry Hall) was the first arriving unit advising “smoke showing” upon arrival. T-8 positioned on side Alpha and positioned their aerial to the roof. With no vehicle access to side Charlie, T-297 backed into the court towards T-8, providing a 2nd aerial to the roof (to cover the exposure units on side Delta). T-297’s crew also threw several ground ladders to side Charlie, assisted with ventilation and overhaul. The fire was quickly knocked and contained to the room of origin. T-297’s crew operated on the scene for approximately 1 hour. This was the third fire of the day for crews from the Providence VFC and the 2nd for T-297. [GD]
