E-291 responded on this fire last night around 2 a.m. in the Jacksonville area. The crew from Providence operated for about 4 hours shuttling water to the scene from one of the underground water supply tank a few miles away. Fortunately the occupants were able to escape the home thanks to a WORKING SMOKE ALARM!

This is the 10th working fire this year, and 3rd this month, to which Providence VFC has responded, and it is only April.
