Members Attend Traffic Emergency Response Safety Training
Tonight, 25 of our members are attending a traffic emergency response safety class. This 4 hour course is designed to train emergency responders in best safety practices when responding to traffic incidents. We respond to hundreds of motor vehicle accidents every year. Traffic emergencies are some of the most dangerous incidents for police, firefighters, EMTs, and tow truck operators. On the road we need your help as much as you need ours.
Thanks to Maryland State Highway Administration for providing this training!
(update on 11/16:)
Last night’s traffic incident management class for our members was just in time. We have responded to FOUR traffic incidents on I-695 today, and it isn’t even 2pm yet.
Please be careful while driving. Obey posted speed limits and please do not drive while distracted, drowsy, drunk, or drugged.
