
November 2021 Recap
As we head into the colder months, Providence’s call volume normally picks up. For the Month of November, we responded to a total of 101 calls of service. Here is sampling of some of the calls we ran over this period: 13 motor vehicle collisions, 27 emergency medical service calls, and 3 major fires.
Here are some of the major incidents we responded to over the month.

November 9th @1:41 Engine 291 responded to a working house fire in the 1500 block of Glen Keith Blvd in Towson. Fire was on all floors & in the basement.

1/09/2021 Alert time: 2106 hrs Fire Box 55-10 (Perry Hall) Apartment Fire 12 Cardor Court Truck 297 was dispatched as the 2nd due Truck company on the initial assignment. E-55 (Perry Hall) was the first arriving unit advising “smoke showing” upon arrival. T-8 positioned on side Alpha and positioned their aerial to the roof. With no vehicle access to side Charlie, T-297 backed into the court towards T-8, providing a 2nd aerial to the roof (to cover the exposure units on side Delta). T-297’s crew also threw several ground ladders to side Charlie, assisted with ventilation and overhaul. The fire was quickly knocked and contained to the room of origin. T-297’s crew operated on the scene for approximately 1 hour. This was the third fire of the day for crews from the Providence VFC and the 2nd for T-297. [GD]

On November 13th, Engine 291 and Truck 297 responded to a crash involving a vehicle on its side, on Cromwell Bridge Rd @ Oakleigh Rd.
On November 20th, Truck 297 responded to a dwelling fire in the 900 block of Fairway Dr in Towson.Providence also responded to several brush fires over the month.

10 Box Brush Fire. Engine 291, Brush 294, Special Unit 298, and ATV 29 operated at a 2 acre wildland fire in the 10600 block of Harford Road.
